William Kraushaar

William Kraushaar is a classically-trained film score composer and self-made multi-instrumentalist from Montreal.

He studied at l’Université de Montréal where he was taught composition, orchestration, classical and jazz piano, jazz bass and classical singing, and he has since then written music for a wide array of instrumental and vocal ensembles, including the Orchestre Symphonique   de Québec and the Choeur St-Laurent. He was awarded by the SOCAN Foundation for his score of the documentary Un Monde   Inaperçu in 2016, and also regularly lends his bass voice to various Montreal choirs, including those of the Orchestre   Symphonique de Montréal and l’Opéra de Montréal. After having met Brian d’Oliveira in 2016, he immediately fell in love with La Hacienda ‘s very unique way of producing music, as well as its amazing collection of instruments; he quickly joined Brian’s creative team, bringing to the table a solid expertise of western harmony and counterpoint.
